We were awarded generous funding to develop upscaled museomic DNA and library prep methods to study genomic timeseries from historical samples. We will focus in Uppsala’s Evolutionsmuseet, which harbours collections from Professor Kullenberg and his students since the 1940s. In collaboration with co-PI Tobias Andermann (IOB), we will study biodiversity changes in Uppsala through the last century.
We have received funding as a consortia of flagship projects with the aim to create a cluster of excellence to make Sweden a world-leader in using museum collections the centre of innovation and research.
